Angela Evelyn Bassett, an American actor, is well-known for her work in film and television in the latter half of the 1980s. She has received various accolades like the Golden Globe Award as well as 16 NAACP Image Awards. Since the mid 80s she has been working on film and television. She's received numerous awards including sixteen NAACP Image Awards. Bassett is a native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She was brought up in Winston-Salem North Carolina by her aunt, who was born at New York New York, is an acclaimed actor. When Bassett was about five the family moved into St. Petersburg, Florida to stay with their mother who was separated from their father. When she was in high school Bassett saw John Steinbeck's play Of Mice and Men starring James Earl Jones and decided that she wanted to become an actor. In 1980, Bassett was graduated from Yale University New Haven Connecticut with the degree of African American studies. She earned a diploma from the Yale School of Drama. Courtney B. Vance met her at Yale In 1997, they were married. Qualification: B.A. Degree in African-American Studies in the year 1980. Master of Fine Arts from Yale School of Drama School. Jordan Park Elementary School Disston Middle School (7th grade), Azalea Middle School (8th and 9th grade), Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett is currently working on one of the leading roles in the film Ramonda in the action movie i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
